U2/81 Grange Road, Welland
This workshop and the catering are free for everyone attending, thanks to a Federal ILC Grant. Any further involvement, tools or resources after the workshop may be claimable through an NDIS Plan. We'll share this information with attendees on the day.
By car or access vehicle: free parking is available behind the building.
By bus from the city: take route 110, 112, 117 or 118 and get off at Stop 13 on Grange Road. You'll need to cross to the other side of the road, which can be busy, so take care.
If leaving from the city, head west along Grange Road and turn right (north) into Frederick Street. Number 81 Grange Road is on the corner of Grange and Frederick Streets. The carpark is behind the building, requiring a left turn almost immediately after entering Frederick Street.
Three hours of in-person presentations, activities and a few games. You'll build practical skills to start your own enterprise and explore how to bring your ideas to life.
All activities are designed for seated participation.
Presenters will speak alongside a PowerPoint presentation, flipcharts and whiteboard notes.
Afterwards, you're welcome to join us for a light lunch and chat with other attendees and the RED Team.
Most people bring a support person, family member or friend along, someone to take notes, help with participation, and share the experience with you.
To take part fully, you'll need to be able to:
- Get yourself to and from the workshop
- Understand spoken English, and read flipcharts and presentation slides
- Answer questions from presenters and other participants (optional)
- Take notes and fill out a poster in writing
- Work on a business idea, bring your own if you have one, or choose from ideas we'll provide
- Present your business idea to the group (optional)
- Bring any accessibility, health or sensory supports you need to take part safely and comfortably, such as ear defenders, masks, assistive technology, fidgets or apps
- Provide permission to appear in workshop photos or videos (or arrange for someone to do this on your behalf)
- Join us for refreshments and a light lunch, choose from what's provided or bring your own
