This workshop and catering is free to all attending (with our grateful thanks to a Federal ILC Grant). Future involvement, resource access etc.will be claimable via an NDIS Plan. This information will be available to those attending the workshop.

How to get there

By car/access vehicle (free parking is behind the building)

By bus from city: take any of these routes: 110, 112, 117 or 118 and get off the bus at Stop 13, on Grange Road. You will need to cross over to the other side of Grange Road, which will be busy.

What to expect

This will be 3 hours of in-person presentations, activities and some games. You will develop skills to start your own business and learn more about making your ideas come to life.

All activities are designed for seated people.

All presentations will be delivered by people speaking and referring to a PowerPoint presentation, flipcharts and whiteboard notes.

At the end of the session, you are invited to join us for a light lunch so you can chat to other attendees and the RED Team.

Who to bring

Most people attending bring a support person/family member/friend to take notes, assist with people’s participation requirements and to share your workshop experience. 

What to bring

To fully participate in this workshop, you’ll need to:

• Transport yourself to and from the workshop
• Comprehend spoken words (English), read flipcharts and PowerPoint presentations
• Verbally answer questions from the presenters and fellow participants (optional)
• Take notes and fill out a poster in writing
• Work on a business idea (if you already have one, that would be great - if you don’t, we will provide some to choose from)
• Present your business idea to everyone in the workshop (optional)
• Any accessibility and inclusion, health or sensory supports enabling you to participate safely and productively, e.g. ear defenders, masks, AT equipment, fidgets, apps etc.
• Everyone will be asked to give permission to be included in workshop photos and/or videos. Please ensure you’re able to provide this (or that someone can on your behalf)
• Join us for refreshments and a light lunch - choose from our options or bring your own.
